This group works on the developement of algorithms in the field of medical image processing. The focus is three-dimensional image registration for intraoperative navigation, especially ultrasound based navigation.
Interests of research
Ultrasound based Navigation
The aim of our work is to integrate intraoperative ultrasound imaging into existing navigation systems. Ultrasound seems to be the most powerful tool for navigation due to the lack of ionizing radiation and because of its fast and cheap data acquisition.
