The group is relatively young and depends on external projects. Its research is
devoted to the development and application of novel biologically inspired
methods for sensor data fusion and classification. The pursuing goal is to
achieve the improved estimation of environmental parameters from remote sensing
data. Our approaches are based on the theory of dynamical systems, neural
networks, and multiple classifiers systems. Currently we work on the development
of algorithms for identification of oil slicks and sea ice classification using
satellite (SAR, optical) and airborne images.
